Went to the restaurant opposite Beauty center to celebrate mummy's birthday in advanced. Sis brought us to Body Equation. This restaurant purchase their groceries every morning then decides what to cook. They have no standard menu like Jack's Place. They changed their menu daily and the menu will be written on the chalkboard. Sis ordered bread(Italian style), corn salad, honey char-grilled lamb ribs and chicken thigh wither calamari. There are two chefs, and the boss who is also the chef won awards before :O
This is their table setting in the air-conditioned room. They have a outdoor dining area and there are swings :D If I remember clearly, the outdoor dining area tables and chair are made of wood. I don't know why buy I prefer wooden tables and chairs. By the way, I love the table cloth, lol.
The photo on the left is the drinks area and dessert fridge. The one on the right is bread displayed area.
The bread came first! It's hot and the outer layer is quite hard but the inner layer is soft. You can dip the bread with olive oil and vinegar, it tasted really good! The glass bottle that contains the vinegar and the olive oil is kinda cool! Sambal chili and Foie gras(goose liver) were served to match with bread. Overall I still prefer the olive oil and vinegar combination. The sambal chili is not bad when you mix with the foie gras.
Next was the corn salad. I only ate the corn and only a piece of lettuce because I don't really like the taste of raw vegetables.
Have been looking forward for this! Honey char-grilled lamb ribs, yum yum~ The chef cut the lamb ribs on the spot. Mum tried it even though she is afraid of the gamey taste of lamb. However, the lamb ribs didn't taste/smell gamey at all :O I ate a lot of lamb ribs along with the lettuce dipped in excess honey :3
The last main course, chicken thigh with calamari. The chicken was tender and the calamari has the char-grilled aroma. Overall I prefer the lamb ribs and the bread with olive oil and vinegar :3
The chef told us about their kitchen and that they charcoal to grill all their food. The female chef invited us to the kitchen and have a look. She explained to us that if we want to get rid or tone down the gamey taste or smell of lamb, one of the way would be char-grill. Quite awesome eh :P
While we were in the kitchen the boss prepared tiramisu for us. By the way, they use lady fingers instead of sponge cake. The boss told us he felt that using sponge cake is an insult o_o lol. He uses real rum as well~!
The last dessert would be chocolate fudge with whipped cream. Guess what? The chocolate fudge consist of 90% - 100% of pure chocolate and no eggs were added. The whipped cream they use a type of liquid and whipped it on the spot.
After the dinner we bid goodbye and board a cab home :3

Watched skins UK version weeks ago~ and it was good! A total of 5 seasons and the sixth season is coming out soon :D Basically skins is about how teenagers deal with their life, dysfunctional families, eating disorder, drug abuse and etc. To be honest I think the first 2 seasons are nicer.
The first generation of skins~ From left: Chris, Anwar, Tony, Sid, Maxxie, Michelle, Sketch, Jal and Cassie.
Tony is very manipulative and smart, his best friend is Sid and is dating Michelle. He was involved in an accident at the last episode of season 1, when he was confessing his love to Michelle trying to win her back after their broke up. He is caring towards his sister, Effy. After the accident Tony suffered subdural hematoma and had learning difficulties. It seems only Maxxie can help him.
Sid have been admiring Michelle but in the end he dated Cassie who is a friend of Michelle. She has eating disorder and she witnessed the death of Chris and fled to New York. And of course Sid went to New York to find her.
My favorite character: Maxxie Oliver and Christohper Miles
Maxxie is a gay and his best friend is Anwar who is Muslim. Anwar's father found out Maxxie is a gay at the last episode of season 1 and is willing to accept who he is. Maxxie has a stalker, Sketch. She lied to her mother about having a relationship with him and often stalks and secretly took photos of Maxxie. When Maxxie rejected her she changed target to Anwar and tried to make him Maxxie's clone. After Anwar realized he quickly dumped Sketch. Even Sketch sabotages Maxxie and James they managed to get into a relationship :D
Chris take drugs regularly during parties and he admire his teacher Angie. The both of them got into a relationship but broke up in the end. He seems carefree but has an illness, subdural hematoma. His brother died young due to that illness. Chris was expelled from school for misconduct and etc. and was also forced out of the student lodging. He had no choice but to look for a job, after several attempts of changing jobs he finally found one which suits him. Chris worked as a real estate agent and sold several houses. Both him and Jal started a relationship and Jal was pregnant with his child. Chris lost his job after the boss found out he stayed at one of the houses which was meant to be sold. Chris died in season 2 episode 9
Like Chris. He said, “Fuck it.”
” I’ll do it my way, and people that love me will understand why I’m doing it, because they love me. Fuck it.”

Freddie has a backyard shed whereby Cook, JJ and himself will gather in there and slack. He was the one who realized Effy had developed mental problems and luckily Effy was treated in time. Freddie disapproved how Effy's counselor John Foster treatment is like and insist the doctor to stop seeing Effy. When the counselor was confronted by Freddie at his house, John admitted he had feelings for Effy. Freddie found the door locked and was beaten to death with a baseball bat by John.
JJ, Cook and Freddie are the three best friends, three of them likes Effy. However only Cook and Freddie got into a relationship with Effy. Cook is impulsive and often gotten into fights. He was brought to court and charged with a offense and was supposed to go to prison but escaped. Ever since then he have been hiding in several friends' house. At the last episode of season 4, Cook broke into John Foster's house and found bloody clothes of Freddie. John Foster then appeared and told Cook he murdered Freddie. The last episode ended with Cook attacking John, no one knows what happened after that.
One of my favorite character, Effy Stonem.
Effy has quite a lot of admirers. She is beautiful, much of a rebel and able to mesmerize guys. She gave a list to Cook, JJ and Freddie which she was supposed to do in school in one day before school ends. The list consist of actions to break the school rules, smoking and etc. Cook managed to accomplish everything except one and Effy helps him to complete the last action. Later in the series her life is quite a mess and she developed mental illness. It seems her only pillar which is her brother, Tony had left town for school. Thus, she gets weak easily even though she may appear with a strong front on several occasions. Effy committed suicide and was found by Katie and Freddie. She was hospitalized and went through counselling. She didn't know Freddie died and hoping to see him again.
My favorite character, Emily Fitch and I love her red hair :3
Emily has a twin sister, Katie and both of them look almost identical. The only difference is character and fashion sense. Emily is a lesbian who has feelings for Naomi. Katie misunderstood and thought Naomi was the one who had force a kiss on Emily and ever since that incident, she dislikes Naomi. After that Katie found out Emily was the one who initiate it and she is a dyke. Naomi couldn't accept being with Emily at first but later on they became a sweet couple. At season 4 onwards both of them had an argument about the girl, Sophia who committed suicide from being high on MDMA. The reason was because Naomi sold the drug to the girl and the girl is interested with Naomi. Their relationship seems unstable until the last episode. By the way, Emily and Katie created a language which only they will understand, it's called 'twin'.

The third generation of skins~ From left: Matty, Alo, Liv, Franky, Rich, Grace, Mini and Nick.
Franky was adopted by a gay couple and she her fashion sense is quite formal and man. She has feelings for Matty. At first Franky was sort of accepted by Mini's clique - Liv and Grace. When Franky offended Mini, Mini asked her boyfriend, Nick to post embarrassing photos of Franky all over school. The only one who is friendly to Franky even after the fall out is Grace. Eventually Mini decided to become Franky's friend, and in the process developed a different feeling for Franky(my point of view, but it's like obvious).
Rich/Richard is a heavy metal fan who dressed like a rocker with shoulder length hair. He fell in love with Grace later on and found out that Grace's father happens to be the school's director, Professor Blood. Grace's father disapproved the relationship between Grace and Rich, and tried to split them up. Rich proposed to Grace and when they were about to get married in the church, Professor Blood showed up. In the end the couple decided to stay as a normal couple instead of marriage.
Won't be elaborating much on Liv, Matty, Nick and Alo :X Season 6 is coming soon on 2012!
sundown festival 2011

Slept for a few hours on the mat with my jacket as blanket. When I woke up, the queue was super long! Left our things under the care of other ViViD fans while the three of us went over to Subway for breakfast. When the Show Luo FC pulled in their FC members to the front queue one of person queuing behind us started nagging non-stop about how ridiculous a few people queued for 100 people. Well, I agree it was quite unfair but they changed shift among themselves for the past 2D2N. The weather was shitty! One moment it was raining heavily and the next second the sun came out~ it was hot and cold every hour. Lucky we brought umbrellas, but we got slightly drenched :/ Stood for 6 - 7 hours straight thanks to the rain. IF it wasn't raining we will be sitting on the mat till 5pm+ We were chatting with the Show Luo fans(not with the FC) and the guy who overnight helped us to buy ponchos.
Around 5.30pm+ we were asked to enter the concert area and to go through security check. The stupidest thing was to open 4 security counters and in one counter there were like 3 or 4 security guards checking the bags. Those who were queuing behind ended up in front instead. I know they are trying to speed things up BUT the concert started at 8.30pm -.- Sundown Festival made the whole audience waited for 2 - 3 hours before they started the first performance. When everything was about to start they freaking played the dumb advertisements that was repeating for the past few hours, but this time there's audio. MCs came out 30mins - 1 hour before the show saying the concert will start any minute, but it took ages -.- The audience jeered and said,"Wah laoooo" quite a number of times. The first performance started off by some kids playing drums and dragon dance
After the first performance, the MCs - Lee Teng and YES 93.3 Pei Fen came out. Pei Fen said when she came out from her dressing room she ViViD vocalist, Shin and she stepped back to her dressing room and screamed. Because And she was like,"ViViD 的主唱帅呆了!" Well this is J-Rockers you are talking about :D
ViViD started off with Yume ~Mugen no Kanata~ followed by Kakera, Crisis and lastly risk. None J-Rock fans were astounded by ViViD's vocalist as there were several parts whereby Shin has to pull his voice for seconds and still maintain his powerful vocal. During risk Shin tried to hype up the audiences by asking everyone to jump to the music together with him. Before they left the stage the vocalist shouted,"ViViD deshita". Die hard fans started shouting "ViViD" and "Encore desu" and the fans' effort were not wasted. ViViD came out for an encore from their new single FAKE. After the encore, ViViD guitarists Reno and Ryoga and drummer Ko-Ki threw their guitar picks and drumsticks to the enthusiastic fans.
I was mosh-ing throughout the whole performance :3 I must say that Shin's voice sounded really powerful! I won't get tired listening to ViViD live all day long, but too bad it's only 5 songs. If they plan to hold a one-man live in Singapore I will definitely go! I don't have any bias in ViViD except the GazettE, SuG and some other J-Rock bands. Did I mention that I like Ryoga's eyes?! xD
Next to perform was Teen Top and I was busy spotting Chunji for Jorel~ Next was Zhang Yun Jin, she has a amazing voice :O
Second last to perform was Hebe from S.H.E! Hebe look really beautiful in real life! Her voice was angelic as well~ Hebe did a stunning and splendid performance. The songs were great and I'm not wrong she sang a few of her latest song.
Last to perform was Show Luo. I was expecting him to sing more than 5 songs since he is the main singer for the whole Sundown Festival, but he sang 3 or 4 songs only. The rest of the artiste/band sang/performed at least 5 songs.
Went to the ViViD booth and saw Serene and Lydia. Bought one ViViD autographed Budokan Poster :D There are ViViD Tour Goods such as towel, lip balm and Singles.
When we stepped out of the concert area I walked passed someone familiar. Walked back and I realized it's Secilia Luna's vocalist, Mirai :O Yeah, it's another J-Rock band invited by Tokyo69 to perform at SCAPE tomorrow. Not really a Secilia Luna fan but still when I get to see a J-Rocker I got super excited! How many times do you get to see a J-Rock band that flew from Japan to Singapore this up close?!
Me: -took a flyer from Mirai- Secilia Luna?! :D
Secilia Luna Mirai: Hmm~ -big smile-
Me: -don't know how to react because I was too happy and wasn't thinking straight-
Guess what I did?
Me: -thumbs up and smiled to Mirai and walked away-

Managed to find Yishan and I was telling her I met Secilia Luna on the way 8D Then I ranted,"WAH LAO I STUPID SIA! I should have say, Secilia Luna ganbatte! instead of giving the stupid thumbs up". DAMN EMBARRASSING T^T.

Rich proposed to Grace and when they were about to get married in the church, Professor Blood showed up. In the end the couple decided to stay as a normal couple instead of marriage.

sundown festival 2011

Slept for a few hours on the mat with my jacket as blanket. When I woke up, the queue was super long! Left our things under the care of other ViViD fans while the three of us went over to Subway for breakfast. When the Show Luo FC pulled in their FC members to the front queue one of person queuing behind us started nagging non-stop about how ridiculous a few people queued for 100 people. Well, I agree it was quite unfair but they changed shift among themselves for the past 2D2N. The weather was shitty! One moment it was raining heavily and the next second the sun came out~ it was hot and cold every hour. Lucky we brought umbrellas, but we got slightly drenched :/ Stood for 6 - 7 hours straight thanks to the rain. IF it wasn't raining we will be sitting on the mat till 5pm+ We were chatting with the Show Luo fans(not with the FC) and the guy who overnight helped us to buy ponchos.
Around 5.30pm+ we were asked to enter the concert area and to go through security check. The stupidest thing was to open 4 security counters and in one counter there were like 3 or 4 security guards checking the bags. Those who were queuing behind ended up in front instead. I know they are trying to speed things up BUT the concert started at 8.30pm -.- Sundown Festival made the whole audience waited for 2 - 3 hours before they started the first performance. When everything was about to start they freaking played the dumb advertisements that was repeating for the past few hours, but this time there's audio. MCs came out 30mins - 1 hour before the show saying the concert will start any minute, but it took ages -.- The audience jeered and said,"Wah laoooo" quite a number of times. The first performance started off by some kids playing drums and dragon dance
After the first performance, the MCs - Lee Teng and YES 93.3 Pei Fen came out. Pei Fen said when she came out from her dressing room she ViViD vocalist, Shin and she stepped back to her dressing room and screamed. Because And she was like,"ViViD 的主唱帅呆了!" Well this is J-Rockers you are talking about :D
ViViD started off with Yume ~Mugen no Kanata~ followed by Kakera, Crisis and lastly risk. None J-Rock fans were astounded by ViViD's vocalist as there were several parts whereby Shin has to pull his voice for seconds and still maintain his powerful vocal. During risk Shin tried to hype up the audiences by asking everyone to jump to the music together with him. Before they left the stage the vocalist shouted,"ViViD deshita". Die hard fans started shouting "ViViD" and "Encore desu" and the fans' effort were not wasted. ViViD came out for an encore from their new single FAKE. After the encore, ViViD guitarists Reno and Ryoga and drummer Ko-Ki threw their guitar picks and drumsticks to the enthusiastic fans.
I was mosh-ing throughout the whole performance :3 I must say that Shin's voice sounded really powerful! I won't get tired listening to ViViD live all day long, but too bad it's only 5 songs. If they plan to hold a one-man live in Singapore I will definitely go! I don't have any bias in ViViD except the GazettE, SuG and some other J-Rock bands. Did I mention that I like Ryoga's eyes?! xD
Next to perform was Teen Top and I was busy spotting Chunji for Jorel~ Next was Zhang Yun Jin, she has a amazing voice :O
Second last to perform was Hebe from S.H.E! Hebe look really beautiful in real life! Her voice was angelic as well~ Hebe did a stunning and splendid performance. The songs were great and I'm not wrong she sang a few of her latest song.
Last to perform was Show Luo. I was expecting him to sing more than 5 songs since he is the main singer for the whole Sundown Festival, but he sang 3 or 4 songs only. The rest of the artiste/band sang/performed at least 5 songs.
Went to the ViViD booth and saw Serene and Lydia. Bought one ViViD autographed Budokan Poster :D There are ViViD Tour Goods such as towel, lip balm and Singles.
When we stepped out of the concert area I walked passed someone familiar. Walked back and I realized it's Secilia Luna's vocalist, Mirai :O Yeah, it's another J-Rock band invited by Tokyo69 to perform at SCAPE tomorrow. Not really a Secilia Luna fan but still when I get to see a J-Rocker I got super excited! How many times do you get to see a J-Rock band that flew from Japan to Singapore this up close?!
Me: -took a flyer from Mirai- Secilia Luna?! :D
Secilia Luna Mirai: Hmm~ -big smile-
Me: -don't know how to react because I was too happy and wasn't thinking straight-
Guess what I did?
Me: -thumbs up and smiled to Mirai and walked away-
Mirai: -big smile-
WTF?!
Managed to find Yishan and I was telling her I met Secilia Luna on the way 8D Then I ranted,"WAH LAO I STUPID SIA! I should have say, Secilia Luna ganbatte! instead of giving the stupid thumbs up". DAMN EMBARRASSING T^T.
